Privacy Policy

The short version. Most of this site collects nothing about you at all. The one exception is the Debt Payoff Planner, where you can choose to create a free account so your plan syncs between your devices. Nothing here ever connects to your bank, and your information is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Using the Site Without an Account

Every calculator and guide on Calculator Wizard works without signing up for anything. When you use them, the numbers you type are processed in your own browser and are never sent to me. I don’t collect your name, address, or phone number, and the only information I receive is whatever you choose to send me directly through the Contact page.

The Debt Payoff Planner Account

The Debt Payoff Planner is the one tool that offers an account, because tracking a debt payoff takes months or years rather than a single visit. Creating one is entirely optional — the planner works the same either way.

If you don't create an account

Everything you enter stays in your own browser, on your own device. None of it reaches me.

If you do create an account

I store the following so your plan can load on your other devices:

Your email address
The debt information you enter — balances, interest rates, minimum payments, any labels or due dates you add
The payments you log over time, and the payoff strategy you selected

This data is held in a hosted database provided by Supabase, the database provider I use, and is tied to your account. Your password is stored only in hashed form and is never visible to me.

What I never do with it

I don’t sell, rent, or share your debt information with advertisers, lenders, data brokers, or anyone else.
I don’t use your figures for anything beyond running your plan and showing it back to you.
I don’t connect to your bank, and I have no access to your accounts, credit file, or transactions.
I’ll never ask for your Social Security number, account numbers, or banking credentials — and you should never enter them here.

Deleting Your Data

If you have an account, you can wipe your saved debts at any time from Account settings inside the planner. To delete your account entirely, email me through the Contact page and I’ll remove the account and its data.

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses cookies to measure performance and understand how visitors use the tools — which pages get used, and where people run into trouble. You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings.

If you sign in to the Debt Payoff Planner, your browser also stores a session token that keeps you signed in. Signing out removes it.

Third-Party Services

I use third-party services, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense, to measure site performance and serve advertising. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver relevant ads and analyze site usage.

Google's advertising cookies (served through Google Ads and the Google Marketing Platform) are used to personalize the ads shown on this site based on your visits here and to other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising, or control how Google uses this data, by visiting Google's Ads Settings.

Advertising on this site is served automatically by Google. I don’t hand any information you enter into the calculators — including anything in the Debt Payoff Planner — to advertisers, and advertisers have no access to your account data.

Links to Other Websites

Calculator Wizard may contain links to external websites, including ads served by Google. I’m not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and a link or advertisement is not an endorsement.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them.
